About the role
Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!
Responsibilities:
- Advise managers and employees across our Arnhem and Emmen sites on a wide range of HR topics. Your primary focus will be Operations, while also supporting other parts of the organisation.
- Guide managers on people matters, including performance, development, compensation and benefits, employability and HR policies. You’ll provide practical advice and constructively challenge when needed.
- Support absence management in close cooperation with occupational health providers and company physicians. You’ll monitor cases, help ensure procedures are followed and contribute to prevention and sustainable employability.
- Combine advice with hands-on HR work. You’ll prepare employment documents, process personnel changes and maintain accurate employee data, working closely with the HR Assistant and Payroll & Personnel Administration team.
- Support recruitment and onboarding, partnering with hiring managers, recruitment colleagues and staffing agencies to attract new colleagues and help them get off to a great start.
- Help people develop by organising training with managers and Operations and supporting the continued implementation and use of the learning management system.
- Support organisational change and workforce planning, contributing to team development, succession planning and knowledge retention.
- Turn HR insights into improvements, identifying trends in areas such as absence and turnover and translating them into practical actions.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Human Resource Management or a related field, or equivalent experience demonstrating bachelor’s-level working and thinking.
- At least three years of experience in a broad HR role combining operational and advisory responsibilities, ideally in production, logistics or a similar environment.
- Practical knowledge of Dutch employment law, social security, absence management and collective labour agreements, and experience applying it to employee cases.
- A structured, hands-on approach and an eye for detail, with an understanding of the importance of reliable HR administration and employee data.
- Strong communication and advisory skills. You build trust with managers and employees, explain your recommendations clearly and are comfortable challenging constructively when needed.
- A pragmatic mindset and the ability to set priorities and follow through, even during periods of change. You’re confident using MS Office and HR systems, ideally Workday or AFAS, and have a basic understanding of payroll processes.
- You’re also willing and able to work regularly at both our Arnhem and Emmen sites.
Compensation for this position will be determined by the candidate's qualifications, experience, education, and overall alignment with the role's responsibilities.
