About this role
We are looking for a Head of Sales (New Verticals) to lead and scale our dynamic division covering Grocery & Retail as well as our corporate B2B product (Takeaway Pay). Based in our Wrocław office, you will be the driving force behind expanding our new verticals proposition—owning partner acquisition and account growth across retail chains and SMBs, while leading the dedicated B2B team driving our employee meal-benefit solution across corporate clients.
Reporting directly to local leadership, you will act as a hands-on leader who uses data to influence decisions, set goals, and drive performance across an experienced team. Your first 6 months will be dedicated to understanding our organization, processes, and existing structures—evaluating what works well, identifying areas for optimization, and establishing a clear, actionable growth roadmap across both merchant partnerships and B2B corporate sales.
These are some of the key components to the position:
- Lead and develop a multi-stream commercial team covering existing retail accounts (chains and SMBs), new merchant acquisition, and corporate B2B sales (Takeaway Pay).
- Lead local grocery and retail market execution, including partner acquisition, partner activation, assortment relevance, and operational readiness.
- Own the B2B commercial strategy for Takeaway Pay—guiding the corporate sales team in acquiring enterprise and SMB clients to scale employee benefit adoption.
- Manage local partner relationships by diving deep into their business models to ensure an excellent partner experience and operational alignment.
- Plan, calculate, and coordinate promotional campaigns and partner-funded activities, making data-driven decisions on commercial budgets.
- Act as a hands-on operational leader—ready to step into the field alongside the team to navigate complex negotiations and close key partnerships.
- Balance local commercial agility with central standards and governance, collaborating across our matrix to secure approvals for strategic partner and corporate offers.
- Set data-backed targets, monitor performance metrics, and maintain transparent, structured communication across both local and global stakeholders.
What will you bring to the team?
- Proven leadership experience in sales, commercial operations, or partner management, with a clear focus on retail, grocery, marketplace, or quick commerce (broader FMCG background is also welcome).
- A practical understanding of retail and grocery partner dynamics, product assortment, operational constraints, and local commercial execution.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a hands-on approach—skilled at evaluating what is already working, identifying areas for improvement, and rolling up your sleeves to scale the business.
- Strong analytical mindset—you use data to prioritize partner opportunities, optimize campaigns, and align comfortably with data-focused stakeholders.
- Exceptional decision-making and people-leadership skills, with the ability to influence, motivate, and guide experienced professionals across diverse sales streams.
- Ability to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders on trade-offs, risks, and performance trends.
- Fluent Polish and English communication skills (written and verbal)—essential for effective local and global collaboration.
- Readiness to work from our Wrocław office (initially 3 days a week, with a preference for regular on-site presence to foster team collaboration).
