This is a pivotal Country Management Group (CMG) role, responsible for leading programme strategy, resource mobilization, grants, MEAL, partnerships, and programme quality across a complex and dynamic humanitarian environment.
As a key member of the country leadership team, you will play a central role in delivering NRC Jordan's 2026-2030 Country Strategy while driving sustainable growth through innovative programming, strategic donor engagement, and strong partnerships with national and international stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Programme, Grants, and MEAL functions.
Lead the implementation of NRC Jordan's strategic objectives and ensure alignment with country priorities and annual action plans.
Drive the development and execution of NRC Jordan's fundraising and resource mobilization strategy.
Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, strategic partners, consortium members, government bodies, and humanitarian actors.
Identify emerging funding opportunities and position NRC competitively for future growth.
Lead grant portfolio management, ensuring high-quality proposal development, compliance, reporting, and donor stewardship.
Champion programme quality, evidence-based programming, accountability, and organisational learning.
Strengthen partnerships with local and national actors and lead NRC's transition towards more locally led programming approaches.
Foster collaboration between technical and operational teams to ensure effective programme delivery.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of technical specialists and programme support functions.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, or a related field.
Minimum 6 years of experience in a senior management position within a humanitarian or recovery context, with responsibility for programme and/or project management.
