About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Growth Marketing Lead, Performance (Contract) based in the United States.
Join a remote growth team focused on scaling customer acquisition through data-driven performance marketing, disciplined experimentation, and AI-powered automation. In this hands-on contract role, you will manage paid acquisition campaigns across multiple digital platforms while helping shape the broader growth strategy. You will oversee campaign execution, budget pacing, creative testing, and performance analysis, with a strong emphasis on generating qualified leads that convert into consultations, property tours, and sales. Working closely with lifecycle, creative, analytics, Product, Data, and Sales teams, you will turn insights into measurable improvements across the customer journey. You will also help advance an AI-native advertising operation by developing workflows that improve campaign management and decision-making. This opportunity is ideal for an independent performance marketer who combines deep channel expertise, analytical rigor, and a strong bias toward execution. The initial engagement is six months, with the possibility of extension.
Accountabilities:
-
Manage paid acquisition campaigns: Build, launch, maintain, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, Display and remarketing, Meta, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Microsoft Ads. Manage campaign structures, bidding strategies, audiences, budgets, and pacing to achieve cost-per-qualified-lead and cost-per-tour targets.
-
Advance AI-native marketing operations: Identify and implement AI-powered workflows for campaign creation, monitoring, optimization, and maintenance. Use automation to improve efficiency while applying human judgment to validate recommendations and outputs.
-
Execute a structured testing program: Manage a prioritized testing backlog covering audiences, creative concepts, offers, channels, and landing-page experiences. Define hypotheses, primary success metrics, guardrails, sample sizes, and decision criteria before launch.
-
Measure and interpret experiments: Run A/B and multivariate tests, conversion and brand lift studies, audience holdouts, geo-holdout experiments, and matched-market tests where appropriate. Report results with confidence intervals, distinguish meaningful improvements from statistical noise, and document findings in a shared learning log.
-
Optimize for downstream conversions: Configure and use offline conversion tracking to feed CRM milestones—including consultations, tours, opportunities, and closed sales—back into advertising platforms. Evaluate performance against qualified leads, tours, customer acquisition cost, and revenue outcomes rather than relying solely on form submissions.
-
Lead creative experimentation: Partner with creative colleagues to develop test briefs, launch controlled creative experiments, and identify the concepts, hooks, messaging, and formats that produce the strongest results.
-
Explore new acquisition channels: Allocate an agreed portion of the budget to testing emerging or underused channels, establish appropriate measurement methods, and make evidence-based recommendations on whether to scale investment.
-
Recommend budget allocation: Identify opportunities to shift spending between campaigns and channels based on incremental performance, lead quality, and business impact rather than platform-reported return on ad spend alone.
-
Maintain reliable measurement and reporting: Audit tracking implementations, identify potential double counting, and reconcile advertising-platform data with CRM and analytics sources. Deliver concise weekly reports covering spend, outcomes, experiments, learnings, and recommended next steps.
-
Collaborate across teams: Work closely with the Director of Paid Digital and cross-functional partners to align acquisition initiatives with business priorities, improve lead quality, and translate performance insights into actionable decisions.
-
Performance marketing experience: At least four years of hands-on growth and performance marketing experience at a fast-growing company or growth agency, with direct responsibility for executing campaigns.
-
Significant advertising budget ownership: Personally managed at least $1 million in cumulative advertising spend across four or more of the required platforms.
-
Advanced Google Ads expertise: Strong recent experience with Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen, YouTube, Display, and remarketing, including bidding strategies, search-term analysis, audience signals, creative testing, offline conversion imports, and campaign controls.
-
Paid social and professional advertising expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience with Meta advertising, including Advantage+ campaigns, Conversions API, offline events, and creative-led targeting; LinkedIn campaign targeting, Lead Gen Forms, and cost control; Reddit audience and community targeting; and Microsoft Ads optimization.
-
AI fluency: Daily use of AI tools for performance analysis, search-term mining, audience research, ad-variant generation, creative briefs, and reporting. Ability to demonstrate practical workflows, evaluate AI-generated outputs critically, and identify where human review remains necessary.
-
Experimentation expertise: Experience designing and executing A/B and multivariate tests, including at least one incrementality or lift study. Ability to establish clear hypotheses, select appropriate methodologies, interpret results, and make evidence-based scale, iterate, or stop decisions.
-
Down-funnel lead generation: Proven experience optimizing acquisition campaigns against CRM outcomes and qualified conversions rather than relying exclusively on clicks or form fills.
-
Long sales-cycle experience: Experience marketing high-consideration products or services, such as real estate, travel, financial services, automotive, B2B offerings, or premium consumer goods.
-
Measurement and analytics: Familiarity with Google Tag Manager, GA4, Heap Analytics, server-side conversion APIs, offline conversion tracking, attribution limitations, incrementality testing, and customer acquisition economics.
-
Data and reporting skills: Strong proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly. SQL experience is an advantage. Familiarity with Salesforce, Redshift, Heap, or Iterable is beneficial.
-
Independent execution: Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage priorities, establish an effective working cadence, flag risks early, and deliver results with minimal supervision.
-
Clear communication: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to present concise performance readouts that lead with the key decision and recommended action.
-
Preferred experience: Familiarity with Connected TV, programmatic and native advertising, TikTok, or emerging AI search and answer-engine advertising placements.
-
Additional preferred qualifications: Experience reaching affluent or high-net-worth audiences, configuring Salesforce offline conversions, working with marketing mix modeling or third-party incrementality measurement, or marketing premium brands with creative that feels authentic rather than overly promotional.
-
Hourly rate: $70 USD per hour.
-
Contract duration: Initial six-month engagement, with an option to extend.
-
Remote flexibility: Remote position based in the United States.
-
Hands-on ownership: Direct responsibility for campaign execution, testing, budget optimization, and performance reporting.
-
Strategic involvement: Opportunity to contribute to growth strategy while working closely with a cross-functional team.
-
AI-driven innovation: Opportunity to build and improve AI-native paid media workflows and experimentation processes.
-
Performance impact: Direct influence on acquisition efficiency, qualified customer leads, property tours, and sales outcomes.
