Key Responsibilities:
Lead the whole hotel operation as chief host, staying visible and approachable and ensuring smooth running during peak periods
Grow revenue ahead of market, with a primary focus on rooms, occupancy and room rates
Manage monthly budgets, Profit and Loss reports and forecasts, with tight cost control and strong internal controls over security, stock and finances
Build a highly engaged ELEVATE culture through performance management, coaching and the development and retention of high potential team members
Deliver exemplary customer service and act on guest feedback and reviews from all digital platforms and in person
Maximise the use and presentation of the property’s physical space to lift asset returns and improve the guest experience
What You’ll Bring:
Previous experience working as a GM in full-service hotels.
Commercial thinking, with an understanding of sales strategy, customer acquisition, sales operations and sales leadership
Awareness of competitor activity and market trends, and an eye for new revenue generating or cost saving initiatives
Confidence in budgets, Profit and Loss reports and forecasts
The ability to lead and supervise a team, setting clear direction, delegating fairly, coaching and recruiting high calibre team members
Prompt, clear decision making, including tough choices and considered risks, with ownership of actions, projects and people
Strong persuading and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, owners, suppliers, team members, the local community and the EVT Group
A commitment to role modelling our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, policies and procedures, with a focus on risk mitigation and Work Health and Safety
