About the role
Globality is the autonomous sourcing platform to manage the entire intake to award process.
At Globality, we build agentic technology that transforms how global enterprises source goods and services — autonomously, at scale, and without the inefficiencies that have defined procurement for decades. Our platform interprets purchase intent, generates sourcing materials, evaluates suppliers, and executes negotiation strategies without manual intervention.
The Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Globality, you will help enterprise procurement teams realize the full value of Glo by running it inside their own systems and aligning it to their own sourcing policies. You will embed with customer procurement, IT, and security teams to configure Glo, connect it to their systems of record, and build what each deployment requires, including changes to the Glo core product when configuration and extensions aren't enough. You will sit within the Product organization, working alongside Product and Engineering to turn what you learn in the field into platform improvements. Your work determines how quickly customers see faster cycle times and lower costs.
What You'll Do
- Build custom connectors, data pipelines, and prototypes that extend the platform to meet customer-specific requirements.
- Modify and extend the Glo core product when a customer need can't be met through configuration or extensions, shipping production code through Globality's standard code review and release process.
- Lead technical deployments of Glo for enterprise customers, from kickoff through go-live and adoption.
- Integrate Glo with customer systems of record, including ERP, procurement, contract management, and identity platforms, using APIs, webhooks, and SSO.
- Configure intake flows, sourcing workflows, approval rules, and procurement governance to match each customer's policies and spend categories.
- Tune Autonomous Mode and Collaborative Mode behavior for each customer, including agent guardrails, negotiation parameters, and evaluation criteria across price, quality, delivery, service, and risk.
- Partner with customer procurement leaders, IT, and information security teams to scope requirements, resolve technical blockers, and complete security reviews.
- Monitor deployed agents in production, diagnose issues, and measure outcomes such as cycle time, savings, and spend under management.
- Capture field insights and reusable patterns, and ship them back into the platform as product capabilities alongside Product and Engineering.
- Document reusable deployment patterns in line with Globality's SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022 controls.
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineer, forward deployed engineer, or solutions engineer, with a track record of shipping production code and direct customer exposure
- Experience building at an AI native company or on an AI native platform, with production exposure to LLM-based applications, agents, or workflow automation
- Working knowledge of how to design, evaluate, and monitor LLM-powered systems, including prompt design, tool use, retrieval, guardrails, and output evaluation
- Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript, and comfort working with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and SQL. Experience contributing to a shared production codebase, including code review, testing, and CI/CD
- Experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, procurement, or identity platforms, and familiarity with SSO, OAuth, and role-based access control
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and an understanding of enterprise security and data privacy expectations, including GDPR and CCPA
- Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical decisions to procurement executives and engineering peers alike
- Sound judgment in ambiguous customer situations, a strong bias toward ownership and outcomes, and the ability to manage multiple deployments at once
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
Nice to Have
- Background in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or finance technology
- Experience with enterprise procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or Jaggaer
- Experience with agent frameworks, evaluation tooling, or multi-agent orchestration
- Experience building developer tooling, SDKs, or APIs used by other engineers
- Prior ownership of a customer-facing product feature from design through production
Why Globality
The opportunity is enormous. Enterprise procurement is one of the last major business functions to be transformed by AI. We're not optimizing at the margins — we're fundamentally rethinking how trillions of dollars get spent.
The team is world-class. Our leadership team brings decades of experience from leading global enterprises, and our culture is built for people who want real ownership, not titles.
You'll have real impact. This isn't a role where you execute someone else's playbook. You'll shape the strategy, build the programs, and see the direct business impact of your work.
We work together — literally. We're in-office 4 days a week in Palo Alto because the best ideas – and the fastest decisions – happen face to face. One day is yours to work wherever you’re most effective.
