About the role
Job Duties:
- Inspect vehicle, engine, and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately.
- Inspect vehicle, computer, and electronic systems to repair, maintain, and upgrade.
- Inspect, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment, which includes climbing silos up to but not over 100 ft.
- Conduct routine maintenance work aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity.
- Schedule future maintenance sessions.
- Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues.
- Provide accurate estimates (time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.
- Keep logs on work and issues.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
Requirements:
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
- Prior experience as a diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or similar role preferred
- Ability to work on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, and heavy-duty components
- Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently
