We're looking for a Financial Controller to be the operational backbone of our finance function. We’re a subscription-based, digital health business, so our ability to keep our finances running quickly and smoothly  is critical. 

Reporting to the CFO, this newly created role is perfect for a highly motivated finance professional who wants more than routine accounting. This is a fast paced, founder-led environment, with enormous opportunities to develop oneself professionally, and drive meaningful change in the finance function and broader business. 

What you’ll do

On a day to day basis you will:

• Own financial control and reporting across the entire business: Technical competency is a must, as multiple geographies, currencies, operating models, and accounting principles bring complexity. You will need to report quickly, accurately, and ensure Mosh | Moshy is audit ready!  
• Ensure Mosh | Moshy meets financial compliance and governance requirements: Whether it’s preparing and filing tax returns, or preparing reports for the Board and Investors, you will be responsible for delivery.  
• Manage and mentor the offshore bookkeeping team: Team work is in Mosh | Moshy’s DNA. The successful applicant will lead and nurture an offshore team of bookkeepers 
• Drive change improvements in the Finance Function: At Mosh | Moshy we are always looking for ways to improve, and delivering future process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort and key-person dependency is critical. Success means the finance function can absorb business growth without a proportional rise in headcount or reduction in quality / service delivery. 
• Turn the numbers into insights: You will be required to look for insights beyond the obvious. Financial analytics and forecasting will require an understanding of the business unit economics, and an ability to clearly communicate these findings to business partners. 
  

Experience you’ll bring

The ideal candidate will have:

• CA or CPA qualified, with 5+ years' post-qualification experience
• Industry experience within a digital subscription type business and understanding unit economics is required. Experience in healthcare is also valued. 
• Proven experience owning the month-end close, statutory reporting, and financial/tax compliance processes
• People leadership experience, ideally managing remote/offshore team members
• Strong Excel/systems skills and experience with cloud accounting platforms (e.g. Xero, NetSuite).

Experience that would be valuable

• Prior experience in a health-tech or other regulated scale-up environment.
• Experience in SaaS or other recurring-revenue businesses
• A track record of building and improving finance processes in a growing business.
• Experience working in a VC- or PE-backed business.
• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-jurisdictional environments.
