The position requires a good blend of project management and financial analysis skills. Must be able to quickly understand and resolve problems. Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in a simple, concise and actionable manner is required.
Description:
This position will serve as a hybrid analytical role, supporting the finance team with financial analysis and supporting various internal customers by building and managing the organization’s people analysis. Financial responsibilities will include building, modernizing, and maintaining financial forecasting models, performing variance analysis, and month end financial reporting. HR analysis responsibilities will be to create and maintain the company’s core reporting and analysis around various people focused metrics (e.g. turnover, retention, hiring). Responsibilities will also include various other ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform company and market level financial reviews of KPI's and summarize results
- Build and maintain financial models (forecasting and budgeting)
- Perform monthly variance analysis and month end financial reporting
- Consolidate and analyze annual business planning process
- Facilitate regular model assumption reviews with CFO and VP of Finance
- Analyze opportunities to synchronize internal profitability estimations with financial results
- Develop and maintain people analysis and reporting
- Support internal customers with creation of reporting for HR topics
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 4 – 6 years financial analysis experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field of study
- Ability to construct complex financial models
- Advanced experience using Excel for financial models and analysis
- Experience with VBA for Excel preferred
- Experience writing SQL statements to pull data a plus
- Ability to analyze and solve complex business issues
- Ability to multi-task effectively with minimal supervision
