Field Supervisor

Epping, VICYou'll be responsible for managing field activities, conducting site inspections and quality audits, mentoring crews, and driving contractor performance across a busy portfolio of telecommunications works.

Field Supervisor - Telecommunications (ONM)

Service Stream is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to join our Telecommunications team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supervising field crews and delivery partners across operational and maintenance programs while ensuring safe, compliant and high-quality network construction outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field technicians, civil crews and subcontractors.
• Conduct site assessments, network surveys, inspections and quality audits.
• Review construction designs and validate scopes of work before execution.
• Coordinate construction activities to meet customer commitments and delivery targets.
• Monitor contractor performance, defect resolution and compliance requirements.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Safety, Quality and operational standards.
• Provide shoulder-to-shoulder coaching, mentoring and field support.
• Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders to support network operations.
• Participate in an on-call roster.

About You

You are an experienced telecommunications professional with strong knowledge of fixed network construction and maintenance environments.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Minimum 5 years' experience within external telecommunications networks.
• Proven experience leading field-based teams and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of network construction methodologies including:
  • Fibre deployment and maintenance
  • Cable hauling
  • Civil construction activities
  • Network audits and quality inspections
• Working knowledge of HFC, FTTN, FTTC and FTTP networks.
• Ability to interpret network designs, build packs and construction documentation.
• Experience managing contractor performance, KPIs and service delivery outcomes.
• Strong focus on safety, compliance and quality assurance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
