About the role
Senior Industrial Maintenance & Equipment Electro-Mechanic III
Clemens Food Group
Work Location: Onsite
Shift: 3rd Shift | Thursday–Sunday | 10:00 PM–6:30 AM
Why Join Clemens Food Group?
Some maintenance professionals are at their best when they're solving problems others can't.
They enjoy understanding how equipment works, diagnosing complex failures, and finding solutions that keep manufacturing operations moving.
At Clemens Food Group, we're looking for an experienced Senior Industrial Maintenance & Equipment Electro-Mechanic who brings strong mechanical and electrical expertise, takes ownership of challenging equipment issues, and understands the importance of safe, reliable production.
This is an opportunity to do more than respond to breakdowns. You'll help improve equipment reliability, support technical improvements, and share your expertise with other maintenance professionals.
If you're someone who takes pride in fixing things correctly, understanding the root cause of failures, and making equipment better than you found it, this role could be a strong fit.
The Impact You'll Make
When equipment goes down, your technical knowledge and decisions matter.
You'll play an important role in maintaining automated manufacturing equipment, restoring operations when problems occur, and identifying opportunities to prevent failures from happening again.
Your impact will include:
-
Keeping production moving: Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical failures to minimize unplanned downtime.
-
Improving reliability: Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend long-term corrective actions.
-
Supporting equipment improvements: Participate in equipment installation, modification, commissioning, and startup activities.
-
Strengthening technical capability: Share knowledge and provide hands-on guidance to less-experienced maintenance technicians.
-
Protecting people and equipment: Maintain high safety standards while completing complex maintenance activities.
Success in this position means combining technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and a commitment to doing the job safely and correctly.
What You'll Do
You'll work directly with industrial manufacturing equipment, using your mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to solve a variety of technical challenges.
Mechanical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
-
Diagnose, repair, and maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors, and mechanical power-transmission systems.
-
Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
-
Perform precision alignment, adjustments, lubrication, and component replacement.
-
Fabricate or modify equipment components using approved tools and methods.
Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
-
Diagnose AC/DC electrical circuits, including single-phase and three-phase power systems.
-
Troubleshoot motors, starters, contactors, overload devices, transformers, and electrical controls.
-
Install and maintain conduit, raceways, disconnects, electrical enclosures, and equipment power circuits.
-
Use multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults.
-
Interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and manufacturer documentation.
Equipment Reliability & Improvement
-
Complete preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
-
Investigate recurring equipment failures and recommend improvements.
-
Support equipment installations, modifications, and startups.
-
Document maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and work orders using SAP or the designated maintenance management system.
Teamwork & Technical Support
-
Coordinate maintenance activities with operations, engineering, and technical partners.
-
Share troubleshooting knowledge and provide technical guidance to other maintenance personnel.
-
Work independently while maintaining clear communication with the broader team.
What Makes This Role Exciting?
You'll work on challenging technical problems.
This isn't a position focused on one type of equipment or one maintenance discipline. You'll apply mechanical and electrical expertise across a wide range of industrial systems.
You'll have opportunities to solve problems at their source.
Beyond restoring equipment, you'll investigate why failures occur and recommend ways to prevent them.
Your experience will matter.
As a Level III (Senior) Electro-Mechanic, you'll bring advanced technical capability and serve as a resource to other maintenance professionals.
You'll be involved in equipment improvements.
From installation and modification to startup and troubleshooting, you'll contribute to work that supports manufacturing performance.
You'll know the schedule upfront.
This is an onsite, third-shift position working Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Candidates should be comfortable working overnight and on weekends.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical fundamentals with the experience and judgment to troubleshoot complex manufacturing equipment.
Required Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
-
Industrial maintenance, electrical, millwright, mechatronics, military technical, or comparable training, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
-
Demonstrated experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems.
-
Experience maintaining industrial motors, conveyors, power-transmission components, pumps, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
-
Experience installing electrical infrastructure, including conduit, conductors, enclosures, disconnects, and equipment power circuits.
-
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment documentation.
-
Working knowledge of electrical safety, lockout/tagout, and industrial maintenance practices.
-
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
-
Availability to work the designated onsite overnight schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Associate degree or technical certificate in a related technical discipline.
-
State or local electrical license.
-
Additional training in industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, or mechanical power transmission.
-
Welding, machining, or fabrication experience.
-
SAP Plant Maintenance or other CMMS experience.
-
Experience in high-volume or regulated manufacturing environments.
Skills & Mindset
Technical knowledge matters, but how you approach challenges is just as important.
We're looking for someone who:
-
Thinks critically: Investigates problems systematically rather than relying on guesswork.
-
Takes ownership: Follows equipment issues through to resolution and documents the work completed.
-
Prioritizes safety: Understands that safe work practices are essential, even when production is under pressure.
-
Stays composed: Approaches unexpected breakdowns with sound judgment and a methodical troubleshooting process.
-
Works collaboratively: Communicates effectively with production teams, engineers, and fellow technicians.
-
Shares knowledge: Helps others strengthen their troubleshooting and maintenance capabilities.
-
Looks for improvements: Recognizes opportunities to prevent recurring failures and improve equipment performance.
Your Future at Clemens
This role gives you the opportunity to apply your technical experience to meaningful equipment challenges while continuing to strengthen your expertise across mechanical and electrical systems.
You'll gain exposure to equipment reliability initiatives, technical improvements, and collaborative problem-solving across manufacturing operations.
You'll also have opportunities to contribute your knowledge by supporting other maintenance professionals and helping improve how equipment is maintained.
If you're an experienced electro-mechanical technician who enjoys complex troubleshooting, values doing things the right way, and wants to make a measurable impact on manufacturing reliability, we'd like to learn more about you.
Bring your expertise. Solve meaningful problems. Help keep Clemens Food Group moving.
