Job Summary
We are a team of comprehensive financial services professionals headquartered in Encino, California. With two distinct companies under one roof, a business management multi-family office and an investment advisory firm, we are able to provide one-stop, seamlessly coordinated financial services such as business management, tax preparation and planning, accounting and bookkeeping, wealth management and financial planning. For more than 45 years, our Firm has been providing peace of mind and financial well-being to high profile creative talent.
We are searching for detail-oriented and success-driven Business Management Accounting Supervisor to become an integral part of our team. The right candidate will utilize his or her educational background, work experience, communication, and organizational skills in supervising multiple teams of account managers, analyzing clients' books, preparing financial reports, preparing tax returns, and providing client services. Responsibilities:
- Working closely with multiple desk teams of BM Account Managers and BM Assistant Bookkeepers
- Reviewing, analyzing and preparing financial statements
- Preparing various financial reports
- Preparing individual and business income tax returns
- Preparing tax projections for individuals and business entities
- Working within tight deadlines
- Maintaining a working relationship with clients
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- 3-5 years of experience in preparation of income tax returns
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or CFP license a plus
- Prior work experience in a CPA firm or business management firm
- Ability to apply critical thinking in daily tasks
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized and work within tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook
- Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills
- Knowledge of Datafaction and AgilLink is a plus
- Knowledge of CCH Access Tax is a plus
- Knowledge of BNA income tax planner and Quickbooks is a plus
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
Working Conditions:
Professional office environment. Working inside, sitting, standing. No heavy lifting over 10 lbs. Hybrid requirement with more time expected in-office during the first 90-days for training.
Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors’ incentive compensation programs.
