The Opportunity
Coury Hospitality has an exciting opportunity for a Barista supporting the dual-branded campus of TETRA Hotel, Autograph Collection and AC Hotel Sunnyvale Moffett Park. Together, these two distinctive Marriott brands offer a unique blend of luxury hospitality and modern European-inspired design, serving Silicon Valley's business travelers, innovators, and visitors from around the world.
From handcrafted coffee beverages and grab-and-go offerings to personalized guest interactions, our café experience plays an important role in starting each guest's day. We are seeking an enthusiastic, guest-focused Barista who is passionate about coffee, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences.
As a Barista, You'll:
Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, espresso drinks, teas, and other café offerings according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Deliver exceptional guest service through warm, welcoming, and professional interactions.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu offerings and provide recommendations based on guest preferences.
Operate point-of-sale systems and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are consistently maintained throughout café and service areas.
Assist with stocking products, ingredients, supplies, and retail merchandise as needed.
Monitor product quality and presentation to ensure brand standards are met.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
Perform opening, closing, inventory, and cash-handling procedures accurately.
Assist guests with questions regarding hotel amenities, dining options, and campus offerings.
Collaborate with fellow Experience Curators to create seamless and memorable guest experiences.
What We're Looking For
Previous barista, coffee shop, food & beverage, or hospitality experience preferred.
Passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Knowledge of espresso preparation and specialty coffee beverages preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Strong organizational skills and commitment to cleanliness and quality.
Basic mathematical and cash-handling skills.
Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
