Apprentice - Fire Alarm Inspector

FSS Technologies is hiring an Apprentice Inspection Technician to learn how to inspect and test fire alarm and sprinkler systems. You will work alongside experienced inspectors, help with testing and documentation, and build hands-on skills from day one. No experience is needed, just reliability and a willingness to learn.

Position Overview

The Apprentice Inspection Technician is an entry-level role focused on learning inspection processes for fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Under close supervision, the apprentice assists with inspections, documentation, and equipment handling while gaining hands-on training in safety, compliance, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections of fire alarm and sprinkler systems under supervision.
• Learn to complete inspection checklists and documentation.
• Support inspection teams by preparing tools, equipment, and materials.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work environment.
• Participate in training modules and on-the-job instruction.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required but are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• No prior experience required; trade school or construction background preferred.
