About us

The role
We are on the lookout for an Account Executive Team Lead to join our Acquisition Sales team in the Academy Business Unit.
This is a full-time leadership role. You’ll report directly to the Head of Sales and act as their right hand. You will turn commercial strategy into daily execution, coach every AE to reach their full potential, and keep the pipeline healthy and predictable. If you get your energy from helping others win, and you lead with both data and empathy, this role is for you.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of AEs through regular 1:1s, call shadowing, role plays and structured feedback.
- Own the team’s targets by driving performance against intake-based enrollment goals. Spot gaps early and turn them into clear action plans.
- Run the pipeline with weekly forecast and pipeline reviews. Make sure opportunities move forward, priorities are clear and nothing gets stuck.
- Keep the CRM clean by making sure HubSpot is used consistently and accurately (deal stages, activities, next steps, loss reasons), so data can be trusted for decisions.
- Report and analyze team and individual KPIs (contact rate, show rate, conversion, time-to-close, revenue) and share insights and recommendations with the Head of Sales.
- Shape the sales playbook by defining and continuously improving scripts, objection handling, follow-up cadences and qualification criteria for each program.
- Manage team operations, including lead distribution, workload balancing, scheduling and daily priorities, so the team’s capacity is used where it matters most.
- Hire and onboard new AEs and interns together with the Head of Sales, so new hires ramp up quickly and adopt the Talent Garden way of selling.
- Work across teams with Marketing on lead quality and campaigns, with Product on knowledge, and with Post Sales for a smooth handover after enrollment.
About you
Ideally, you’re a motivated and people-driven sales professional with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in education and innovation. On top of this, you:
- Have 4+ years of experience in sales or business development, including some experience leading, mentoring or coaching others (formally or informally)
- Are a native Italian speaker and fully fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Are based in Barcelona or willing to relocate there with the motivation to stay long-term
- Are eager to grow your career in sales and take ownership of your results
- Are familiar with AI tools (Claude & Gemini mainly) and CRM tools (HubSpot strongly preferred)
- Are proficient with Google Workspace and Slack
- Are a clear, empathetic communicator who builds trust quickly
- Are both a self-starter and a collaborative team player
