The Role
Step into the role of Womenswear Multi-Product Designer.
Discover an exciting opportunity to take on an integral creative role here at Joules Head Office, shaping our Outerwear and Tailoring collections.
Your focus will be on designing pieces that bring together modern British style and effortless wearability. Using your sharp taste level and design instinct, you will create standout outerwear and sharp tailoring that tap into contemporary trends while honouring the authentic Joules identity our customers know and love.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time role based onsite at The Barn, Joules’ purpose-built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. The typical hours for this role are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Our Location
Market Harborough in Leicestershire is where Joules began in 1989. This vibrant market town is home to the brand’s Head Office and is full of independent shops, bars, and restaurants. It also benefits from great transport links to London, making it easily accessible for visitors and commuters alike. It is the ideal place to mix a rewarding design career with plenty of well-dressed time off.
What You’ll Do
Our outerwear and tailoring ranges define how our customers step out into the world. In this role, you will lead the creative direction for your categories, designing versatile pieces that layer, mix, and play across the seasons. Working side by side with our buying, garment technology, and print teams, you will turn inspiring ideas into beautifully finished garments.
You will be responsible for:
Shaping the seasonal aesthetic: Lead the planning and creative vision for your categories, crafting evocative mood boards, colour palettes, and silhouettes that inspire the wider product team
Proposing fresh opportunities: Spot emerging commercial trends and introduce forward-thinking design concepts that elevate our outerwear and tailoring ranges
Bringing sketches to life: Partner closely with Garment Tech and Buying to ensure prototypes match your creative vision, fit impeccably, and uphold our quality standards
Collaborating with suppliers: Share product knowledge to help evaluate supplier capabilities and identify the best partners to produce your ranges
Mastering construction methods: Work with technical specialists to establish the most effective production techniques for design prototypes
Reviewing real-world impact: Stay connected with our retail stores and sales data to understand how customers engage with your designs, using those insights to refine future ranges
Managing the details: Oversee sample management, swatch archives, and technical design packs with pride and accuracy
What You’ll Bring
To really shine in this role, you will bring an instinctive design eye, technical precision, and a natural appreciation for British heritage style reinterpreted with a fresh, effortless feel. You understand our preppy aesthetic, enjoy playing with pattern, texture, and tailoring, and have an innate passion for how people dress for everyday life and well-dressed time off.
You love rolling up your sleeves with the team, communicating your vision clearly, and backing creative ambition with sound commercial grounding.
We would also love to see:
Proven design experience within a lifestyle fashion brand, with a strong focus on outerwear and tailoring
A fearlessly creative approach, coupled with strong commercial awareness and an eye for contemporary trends
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems, including the creation of detailed BOMs, technical sketches, and design specification packs
Hands-on experience working directly with Print Designers, Pattern Cutters, and Garment Technologists
Strong communication skills to share design concepts confidently with internal teams and external suppliers
Excellent organisation, with a methodical approach to sample management, swatch libraries, and design deadlines
A collaborative mindset, a genuine curiosity for how things are made, and enthusiasm for the future of Joules
