About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Director, Corporate FP&A based in the United States.
We are seeking an experienced finance leader to build and scale the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function within a high-growth, global technology organization. This strategic leadership role will oversee company-wide financial planning, forecasting, performance reporting, and long-range financial strategy. You will partner closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to transform complex financial data into actionable insights that drive business performance and informed decision-making. The role offers the opportunity to strengthen financial infrastructure, modernize processes through automation and AI, and establish scalable operating practices. You will also lead and develop a high-performing team while supporting resource allocation, strategic initiatives, and sustainable growth. This is a fully remote opportunity for a hands-on finance executive who thrives in a collaborative, innovative, and fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities
- Own and continuously improve company-wide Corporate FP&A processes, including long-range planning, annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and consolidated Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow projections.
- Lead executive and Board-level financial reporting, delivering clear, decision-ready analysis of business performance, financial drivers, risks, opportunities, and operating leverage.
- Develop and maintain a robust KPI and reporting framework, including performance scorecards, dashboards, recurring business reviews, and analytical tools that support leadership and investor decision-making.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, and other Finance teams to support month-end close activities, financial variance analysis, and accurate, timely reporting.
- Establish scalable financial operating rhythms, including reporting timelines, clear ownership, standardized metric definitions, and efficient processes that improve visibility and accountability.
- Modernize financial planning and reporting through improved forecasting methodologies, systems implementation, workflow automation, structured data, and AI-powered tools.
- Serve as a trusted strategic partner to business and functional leaders across departments and geographies, providing financial guidance on performance management, resource allocation, and business priorities.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing Corporate FP&A team, fostering analytical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support strategic initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) due diligence, integration activities, and other projects that advance the organization's financial and operational objectives.
- At least 10 years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, or a related discipline, including significant experience at a leading technology company. Experience in investment banking or buy-side investing is an advantage, while SaaS, enterprise software, or broader technology industry experience is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated Corporate FP&A leadership experience, ideally within a public company, a recently public organization, or a business preparing for public-company readiness.
- Proven ownership of consolidated P&L reporting, company-wide financial forecasts, and Balance Sheet and Cash Flow planning processes.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including building models from scratch, challenging assumptions, identifying root causes, and translating complex financial information into practical business recommendations.
- Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing and delivering financial reports, strategic analysis, and decision-ready materials to senior executives and Boards of Directors.
- Excellent business judgment and a track record of building trusted relationships with stakeholders across functions, teams, and international markets.
- Demonstrated success in transforming and scaling financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational processes in complex, fast-growing organizations.
- Strong systems and technical proficiency, including experience with Pigment and AI tools, as well as a demonstrated ability to automate financial workflows and improve Finance operations through technology.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- A player-coach leadership style, with strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to integrity, credibility, accountability, and continuous development.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Competitive compensation: U.S. on-target earnings (OTE) ranging from $260,000 to $312,000, depending on experience, skills, and level of responsibility.
- Equity participation: Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), providing employees with an ownership stake and aligning individual contributions with the organization's long-term success.
- Fully remote work: Work remotely within a globally distributed organization that values flexibility, collaboration, autonomy, and shared purpose.
- Global and inclusive culture: Join a diverse, collaborative team built on transparency, trust, open communication, and low-ego leadership.
- High-growth environment: Take on meaningful challenges and help shape financial strategy, infrastructure, and processes as the organization scales.
- Innovation and autonomy: Benefit from an environment that encourages experimentation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of new technologies.
- Career development: Access opportunities to expand your leadership capabilities, develop new skills, and progress professionally.
- Accessible leadership: Work with transparent, engaged leaders who encourage open dialogue and informed decision-making.
- In-person onboarding: Participate in an onboarding experience designed to help you connect with colleagues, understand the business, and succeed from day one.
- Generous annual leave: Benefit from a global annual leave policy of 30 days per year, including three designated company shutdown days, subject to applicable local legislation.
- Equal opportunity workplace: Join an organization committed to diversity, inclusion, fairness, and equal employment opportunities.
