Our Mission: We provide technology leadership across the Commonwealth to enhance the quality of public service and foster positive community outcomes.

Occasional travel may be required to the Massachusetts Information Technology Center (MITC) or other Commonwealth offices throughout Massachusetts to support business operations, attend meetings, or participate in training.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process low-risk, low-complexity procurements with supervision and review as appropriate.

Provide responsive, professional customer service to administrative and technical staff at varying levels of seniority and communicate with vendors or external parties as needed.
Understand business needs, clarify incomplete or inconsistent information, and respectfully explain requirements or raise concerns; seek guidance before making commitments.
Maintain organized procurement files, trackers, supporting documentation, and follow-up schedules; manage multiple requests and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
Generate, maintain, and review routine procurement reports to track workload, request status, processing timelines, purchasing activity, and other key metrics; identify discrepancies and trends, and support data-informed decision-making and process improvements.
Provide basic procurement process guidance and training to agency staff, including individual walkthroughs, demonstrations, and assistance with established procedures and systems, with guidance from experienced procurement staff as appropriate.
Support compliance and quality control by checking routine documentation for completeness and consistency and escalating exceptions, risks, or unfamiliar issues.
Assist with basic quote comparisons, price documentation, spend tracking, and other straightforward data reviews to support informed purchasing decisions.
Develop working knowledge of Commonwealth procurement policies, procedures, systems, and tools through training and hands-on experience. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including the responsible use of technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
