Principal Consultant
UK-based | Travel to the US approximately one week per month
We’re looking for an experienced Principal Consultant to join our North American Professional Services team, helping accountancy customers get greater value from their SaaS solutions.
This is a senior, highly client-facing role for someone who can take ownership of complex implementations, demanding customer situations and multiple projects at once. You’ll work closely with customers to understand their challenges, improve processes and translate requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
You’ll also act as a senior point of expertise within Professional Services, supporting colleagues on complex engagements and helping strengthen how we deliver for customers.
What will you be doing?
Lead complex SaaS implementation and consulting engagements.
Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, keeping delivery, deadlines and stakeholders organised.
Work directly with customers experiencing product or delivery challenges, confidently managing frustration and expectations.
Understand customer requirements and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
Build trusted relationships with senior and C-suite stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and maximise the value customers receive from our solutions.
Manage scope and identify potential scope creep early.
Partner with Project Management, Product, Support, Sales and Customer Success.
Coach other consultants and share best practice across Professional Services.
What are we looking for?
5+ years’ experience in client delivery, software implementation or SaaS consulting.
Strong knowledge of the SaaS industry and enterprise/cloud software delivery.
Experience managing complex customer relationships and challenging client situations.
Exceptional organisation, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
Strong stakeholder management, consulting and presentation skills.
Experience gathering detailed requirements and translating them into solutions.
Knowledge of accountancy environments, practice management software or professional accounting firms.
Comfortable engaging with C-suite stakeholders.
Willingness to travel to the US approximately one week per month.
Experience with APIs, cloud integrations, SQL/T-SQL, Power BI/SSRS or project management would be advantageous.
