OverviewProvides direct patient care to all age groups under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse consistent with the established guidelines of practice, the Goals of Mercy Health System, the Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy, the Code of Professional and Business Ethics and the Co-worker Code of Conduct. Performs related duties as assigned.
Position Details:
Patient Care Associate (PCA) - 5A Mother Baby - part-time nights
Join a dedicated team providing compassionate care to mothers and newborns during a significant life event. As a Patient Care Associate on our Mother Baby unit, you'll work collaboratively with nurses and caregivers to support patient comfort, safety, and recovery while helping create a positive experience for growing families.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily care needs and mobility
- Obtain and document vital signs
- Support patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required
