About this opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Solution Architect to help shape the future of our mobile technology landscape.
This is a senior architecture role where you'll define and orchestrate complex solution architectures that support strategic business outcomes and align with our wider technology strategy. You'll work across product, engineering and architecture teams to provide a clear technical direction, helping delivery teams move faster by resolving architectural complexity early and ensuring solutions are secure, resilient and scalable.
You'll play a key role in shaping the architecture roadmap for our mobile platforms, influencing decisions that impact customer experience, engineering effectiveness and long-term technology sustainability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the end-to-end solution architecture for complex mobile initiatives, ensuring designs support customer, business and technology objectives.
- Creating architecture roadmaps, solution designs and technical options that enable delivery teams to make informed decisions and deliver at pace.
- Working with Product Owners, Engineering Leads and Enterprise Architects to align strategic priorities, dependencies and delivery plans.
- Embedding secure-by-design and resilient-by-design principles into mobile solutions from discovery through to live service.
- Identifying and managing architectural risks, technical debt and cross-platform dependencies while balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term platform health.
- Driving the adoption of common patterns, reusable capabilities and engineering standards across mobile teams.

If you're passionate about architecture, technology strategy and helping teams deliver exceptional outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
What you'll need:
- Significant experience designing and leading end-to-end solution architectures across applications, services, platforms and operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of mobile architecture principles across Android and iOS platforms, including integration with APIs, backend services and shared platform capabilities.
- Experience shaping architectural roadmaps, evaluating options and communicating technical trade-offs to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of security and resilience principles, including secure design, risk management and operational readiness considerations.
- Experience working within agile delivery environments and partnering closely with engineering, product and architecture teams.
- Proven ability to influence decisions, build alignment and provide technical leadership across complex, multi-disciplinary environments.
And any experience of this would be really useful:
- Experience working within a regulated financial services environment or another large-scale, complex organisation.
- Experience with cloud technologies, microservices, observability, platform engineering or service reliability practices.
- Experience contributing to architecture standards, reference patterns, technical communities or engineering capability development.
