Machine Operators

Location: Apple Creek, OH
Pay: $25–$35/hour, plus per diem and travel for qualified travelers
Duration: 6 weeks
Schedule: 40+ hours per week

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Machine Operators for a 6-week manufacturing project in Apple Creek, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manufacturing equipment, monitoring production processes, inspecting finished products, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manufacturing machinery and equipment according to production requirements and work instructions.

• Load and unload materials, position workpieces, and ensure proper machine operation.

• Monitor machine performance and make basic adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency and quality.

• Inspect finished products to verify accuracy, dimensions, and compliance with quality standards.

• Use measuring tools and inspection equipment to check product specifications and identify defects.

• Identify machine malfunctions, production issues, and potential equipment problems.

• Perform routine machine checks and assist with basic troubleshooting and maintenance.

• Follow production schedules and maintain accurate production records as required.

• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.

Machine Operator Qualifications

• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, industrial, or machine shop environment.

• Ability to follow work instructions, production specifications, and quality control procedures.

• Familiarity with measuring tools and inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality.

• Basic understanding of machine operation, equipment adjustments, and troubleshooting.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality products.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Available Shifts

• 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM

• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM

• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Travel & Per Diem

• $179 per day in per diem ($1,247 per week), paid for all days while traveling.

• Travelers are compensated at their regular hourly rate for hours worked.

• Personal vehicle travel reimbursed at $0.76 per mile.

• Airfare provided for air travelers, with rental car and fuel reimbursement.
