The role also offers opportunities to contribute to architectural discussions, improve CI/CD processes, and adopt modern engineering tools and methodologies. Join a collaborative, Agile-driven environment where your technical expertise and problem-solving skills can make a meaningful impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend applications using Java and modern software development frameworks.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, leveraging technologies such as OAuth2 and JSON Web Tokens (JWT).
  • Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and testable code in accordance with established coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with solution architects on technical designs, architecture decisions, and the implementation of scalable software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests using JUnit, participate in peer code reviews, and apply static code analysis to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Diagnose and resolve software defects, memory management issues, multithreading challenges, synchronization problems, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Design and optimize database schemas, SQL queries, and data access layers to improve application efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases to support application requirements, data integrity, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with QA engineers to validate functionality, resolve defects, and ensure the delivery of robust applications.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, while coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and DevOps practices to improve delivery efficiency and software reliability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, coding guidelines, and implementation specifications.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes, system architecture, and application performance.
  • Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in backend software development using Java.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and the Spring ecosystem, particularly Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API development, microservices architecture, service integration, and distributed application design.
  • Knowledge of Java multithreading, synchronization, concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, including strong SQL query-writing and optimization skills.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra and their application in scalable systems.
  • Experience developing unit tests with JUnit and applying code quality practices, debugging techniques, and software testing principles.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and algorithmic skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth2 and JWT, is preferred.
  • Exposure to caching technologies such as Redis or Ehcache is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems and microservice communication technologies, such as RabbitMQ or gRPC, is beneficial.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD tools, and automated deployment practices is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous learning.

  • Onsite work opportunities in Chennai or Tirunelveli, India.
  • General shift timings that support a structured working schedule.
  • Exposure to modern backend technologies, including Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud-ready application development practices.
  • Opportunities to participate in technical architecture discussions and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Collaborative work environment involving cross-functional teams and global client projects.
  • Opportunities to strengthen technical expertise and expand knowledge of security, database optimization, DevOps, and software architecture.
  • Potential for professional growth through challenging development assignments and continuous technical learning.
