About the role
About the role
As IT Manager, you will own our IT environment end-to-end: devices, security, office networking and Wi-Fi, and compliance. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes building clean systems and being the go-to person for every technical issue in the company.
What you’ll do
- Run device management for Mac and Windows fleets through Apple Business Manager and JumpCloud MDM.
- Maintain endpoint security and respond to alerts.
- Own office networking and Wi-Fi which includes configuring access points, firewalls, and switches, monitoring performance, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and managing ISP and vendor relationships.
- Own onboarding and offboarding so access is granted by role on day one and fully revoked on exit.
- Track hardware assets through their full lifecycle, from procurement to secure disposal.
- Provide help desk support to employees and document fixes so issues don’t repeat.
What you bring
- 3+ years in IT support or systems administration, with at least 1 year as the primary IT owner at a company.
- Hands-on experience with an identity provider (JumpCloud, Okta, or Entra ID) and Google Workspace administration.
- Experience with MDM for macOS and Windows.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing business Wi-Fi and networks.
- A security-first mindset, including least-privilege access, MFA, and patching discipline.
- Clear communication with non-technical coworkers.
- Comfort working independently without an existing IT team.
Nice to have
- SOC 2 audit experience, especially with Vanta.
- A degree or certification in IT, networking, or security (CompTIA, Apple, Jamf, etc.).
- Experience at a startup or high-growth company.
