About the role
Opened in May 2025, The Standard, Brussels marks an exciting new chapter for The Standard as our third European property. Located in the city's vibrant Northern Quarter, the hotel brings our signature blend of bold design, culture and unconventional hospitality to the heart of Belgium's capital.
With 180 guestrooms, 20 residences, a striking greenhouse-style lobby, vibrant dining and bar experiences, and a rooftop restaurant, bar and garden, The Standard, Brussels is a destination where food, music, art and culture come together. Playful, sophisticated and always unexpected, it's anything but standard.
Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of one of Europe's most exciting lifestyle hotels? Here's your chance to find out. We're looking for a Human Resources Intern who's ready to bring fresh energy, creativity and a passion for people to our team. From welcoming new colleagues to helping create a vibrant workplace culture, this is your opportunity to gain real experience and be part of something extraordinary.
Your role
As our Human Resources Intern, you'll join the team at the heart of our people experience, working alongside our HR Director and HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day HR operations of a vibrant lifestyle hotel.
You'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of HR activities, from recruitment administration, onboarding and preparing employment documentation to maintaining employee records, supporting payroll processes and coordinating internship agreements. You'll also assist with employee benefits, internal training and HR projects, gaining valuable insight into how a successful HR department operates.
You'll play an important part in bringing our 'Anything but Standard' workplace culture to life, helping organise employee events, social activities and celebrations that keep our teams connected, engaged and inspired. You'll also support the coordination of our internship programmes, helping welcome and guide fellow trainees throughout their journey with us.
This isn't your typical internship. You'll gain exposure to the people side of an international lifestyle hotel, learn from experienced HR professionals and discover how creativity, individuality and genuine connections can shape an exceptional workplace.
We're looking for someone with personality, curiosity and enthusiasm. Someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, takes pride in the details and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves, share ideas and embrace the unexpected. After all, we're anything but standard.
