About the role
Description
The GSRP Aide provides supervision and support to preschool students during the lunch and noon-hour
period. This position helps maintain a safe, positive, and organized environment while assisting students with meals,
transitions, and age appropriate activities.
Requirements
Supervise GSRP students during lunch, recess, and noon-hour activities.
? Assist students with opening food items, cleaning up, and practicing appropriate mealtime routines.
? Monitor students to promote safety and positive behavior.
? Support students with transitions between the classroom, cafeteria, playground, and other designated areas.
? Encourage independence, appropriate social interaction, and respectful behavior.
? Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly lunch and activity area.
? Follow established procedures regarding student health, safety, allergies, and dietary needs.
? Communicate student concerns, incidents, or unusual situations to the classroom teacher or appropriate school
staff.
? Follow GSRP, school, and Leona Michigan Education Group policies and procedures.
? Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
? High School diploma or equivalent required.
? Experience working with preschool or young children preferred.
? Ability to supervise and interact with children in a positive manner.
? Strong communication skills, patience, dependability, and organizational skills.
? Ability to follow directions and work cooperatively with teachers and school staff.
? Must meet applicable employment requirements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout assigned areas while supervising young
children. The position may require assisting students and lifting or moving materials typically used in a preschool
setting.
EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Part-Time/Non-Exempt
