F&B Host

Position Summary

The Host is responsible for creating a positive first impression for guests by providing a warm welcome and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. The host coordinates guest flow, communicates with servers and management, and helps maintain a smooth dining experience.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient manner.
• Follow all policies, procedures and service standards.
• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage waitlists, server sections, and seating arrangements.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus..
• Coordinate with servers and management to optimize table turnover.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
• Assist guests with special requests and accommodations.
• Monitor dining room capacity and wait times.
• Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, hospitality, or restaurant experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in high-volume environments.
• Ability to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and management.

Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, approximately 8 hours.
• Must be able to walk for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Must possess or be able to obtain an SNHD Health Card.
