About the role
Skillforce is seeking motivated Electrical Apprentices and Helpers to assist with lighting installations on a commercial construction project. The ideal candidate will have basic electrical knowledge, experience working on construction sites, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Pay and Schedule:
Electrician Helper: Starting at $23/hour, depending on experience
Electrical Apprentice: Starting at $26/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 40+ hours per week, Monday-Friday, with the possibility of overtime
Commercial Electrician Responsibilities:
- Assist electricians with the installation of commercial lighting fixtures and devices.
- Pull wire, install supports, and help with conduit installation.
- Assemble and mount lighting fixtures according to project specifications.
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all OSHA, site-specific, and company safety regulations.
- Transport and organize materials and equipment as needed.
- Support electricians with daily tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
Requirements:
- 6 months to 3 years of electrical experience preferred.
- Previous commercial construction experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of electrical tools, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to work from ladders and lifts when required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
