About the role

Description

Ontario Christian School is an independent Christian school serving PK-12th grade students representing over 200 different churches throughout the Inland Empire. For over 80 years, we have partnered with Christian families to provide an excellent education that grows Christian leaders. Whether our graduates transition to college or career, they are prepared to make a difference in this world for Christ.

At Ontario Christian, we believe our greatest strength is our people. Our faculty and staff are passionate professionals who view their work as both a calling and a craft. We value collaboration, growth, and meaningful relationships, and we are united by a shared desire to positively impact students’ lives for Christ. Employees at Ontario Christian experience a supportive community, opportunities for professional development, and the joy of contributing to a mission that matters—helping students discover their God-given potential and purpose.

Ontario Christian School is seeking a Development Director to lead fundraising, engage donors, and build partnerships with the community. Reporting to the Superintendent, this full-time leader will develop and implement fundraising strategies, oversee annual giving and capital campaigns, cultivate meaningful relationships with donors and alumni, and guide fundraising and community events. The Director will also pursue grant opportunities, oversee development staff, and collaborate with school leadership, the Board of Trustees, and supporting organizations to advance the school’s goals.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field and at least five years of experience in donor development, community relations, fundraising, marketing, or a related area is preferred. We are looking for a relational, proactive leader with strong communication and project management skills, knowledge of fundraising best practices, and proficiency in donor databases and reporting tools. Prior work in a Christian school or similar setting is preferred.
