About the role
Farmers is creating a new role in the Sr Director of Acceleration and Accountability to raise the pace and precision of execution across Distribution. The role sits at the intersection of data, insight, and delivery: it identifies where distribution performance is falling short of plan, determines why, and builds the tools needed to drive a conclusion. It is a hands-on operating problem solver, not an analytics staff function.
The role carries visibility with Finance and the CEO, and the person in it will be relied on to represent Distribution's numbers accurately in those forums
Key Responsibilities
As part of the broader Economics arm, this role serves as the catalyst in bringing forward operational excellence in solution delivery. This role will focus specifically on the Distribution channel and their needs. You will operate in concert with strategy and project teams to understand the highest ROI/Impact initiatives and ensure that hurdles/pitfalls are overcome quickly.
The Sr Director of Acceleration and Accountability will be responsible to:
- Work across Distribution to strengthen the quality of data, the insight drawn from it, and the execution that follows.
- Create measurement tools to better understand and asses business use cases to justify the economic viability and ROI.
- Improve agency recruitment performance — funnel volume, conversion, and cycle time — by identifying constraints and installing the changes that clear them.
- Diagnose stalled or slow-moving projects: get into the detail, convene the right people, break down hurdles and barriers, and drive to a decision faster than the current cadence allows.
- Participate in Finance, Product and CEO forums, presenting facts and known numbers. Capture open questions, resolve them immediately following the meeting, and carry the guidance forward into the work.
- Translate executive direction into specific actions, owners, and timelines across Distribution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 10+ years of experience.
- Management consulting background or comparable experience moving quickly between unfamiliar problem sets and reaching command of each one. Adaptability across subject matter is a primary requirement.
- Property & Casualty insurance experience is required.
- Strongly numbers-oriented. Comfortable building, interrogating, and defending the analysis behind a recommendation.
- Demonstrated record of unblocking work — entering an in-flight initiative, finding what is holding it, and moving it to completion.
- Working knowledge of agency or producer recruitment and funnel mechanics.
- Preferably comes with experience within a P&C distribution organization.
Benefits
This position comes with competitive compensation and benefits package:
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Career development and training opportunities
- Flexible work arrangements (remote and/or office-based)
- Dynamic and inclusive work culture within a globally renowned group
