Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Representative plays a critical role in driving opportunity momentum within the STS process from initial introduction through to signed mandate. Partnering closely with Managing Directors (MDs), the Business Development Representative helps originate, qualify, and advance opportunities while ensuring a disciplined, structured, and responsive client experience.
The Business Development Representative acts as the central coordination point between MDs, advisors, prospective sellers, and internal STS teams, ensuring that opportunities move forward with clarity, accountability, and speed. By managing process discipline, relationship communication, and operational execution, the Business Development Representative enables Managing Directors to focus on strategic engagement with founders and buyers while maintaining strong momentum across the pipeline.
This is a high-ownership, client-facing role that directly contributes to STS’s ability to convert high-quality opportunities into signed mandates.
