The Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding the company’s brand acquisition activities by identifying and bringing high-potential Chinese brands into Vietnam and Thailand, with broader Southeast Asian markets expected to follow.
This is a hunter-focused role responsible for identifying, approaching, and onboarding Chinese brands seeking to expand into Southeast Asian e-commerce markets. The position will act as the key commercial bridge between brand owners and decision-makers in China and local teams in Southeast Asia.

- Manage the full business development cycle, from prospecting and initial outreach to pitching, commercial negotiation, and brand onboarding.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brand owners, commercial teams, and other key stakeholders in China.
- Develop market-entry proposals tailored to Southeast Asian e-commerce markets, including platform strategy, pricing strategy, and go-to-market plans.
- Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure successful brand launches and smooth business ramp-up.
- Monitor business development pipelines, brand acquisition targets, and revenue contribution from the acquired brand portfolio.
- Represent the company at trade events, exhibitions, and brand roadshows in China and Vietnam when required.
Requirements

- 5–8 years of experience in Business Development, Brand Management, or Trade/Export Sales, preferably gained on the brand side or within an e-commerce enabler.
- Strong understanding of Chinese brands’ motivations for international expansion, internal decision-making processes, and expectations when entering overseas markets.
- Previous experience working with or selling into Southeast Asian markets is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Fluent Mandarin and professional working proficiency in English are required. Vietnamese language capability is considered an advantage.
- Entrepreneurial and self-driven, with the ability to build new business initiatives and processes from the ground up in an environment where no established playbook currently exists.
- Willing to be based in Vietnam for the first six months, with flexibility regarding work location thereafter.
