Banquet Server / Event Staff - $16/hr

$16.00 per hour to start. Raises earned by skill, not seniority. Full training provided. Nights and weekends.

The Bell Tower on 34th has produced weddings, galas, and corporate events in Houston for over 18 years. We run our events on a small, fast, polished crew, and we would rather have fewer great people than more average ones. If you take pride in clean work, show up when you say you will, and stay calm when the room gets busy, this is your job.

What You Will Do

• Set the room to the floor plan: tables, chairs, linens, place settings, staging, and props.
• Serve plated and buffet meals with speed and precision during live events.
• Carry full trays with control, clear and reset tables, and keep stations stocked.
• Flip rooms between events on a clock.
• Keep floors, service areas, and the dish line clean, dry, and safe.
• Move quietly and discreetly during speeches, toasts, and first dances.

Pay and Advancement

• Starting pay is $16.00 per hour.
• Raises come from our skills-based pay tiers. We pay for speed, precision, independence, and reliability, not for time on the clock.

Qualifications

What We Need From You

• You are 18 or older.
• You are available evenings and weekends. That is when our events happen, and there is no version of this job without weekend nights.
• You have reliable transportation and you arrive on time, every shift.
• You can push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds and stay on your feet for 6 to 8 hours or longer.
• You can use your hands and arms continuously and bend, reach, and twist repeatedly.
• You wear an all-black uniform. We provide any required pieces you do not own.
• You keep working when the pace picks up.
• You are dependable. A no-call, no-show results in immediate termination.
• You have or will obtain TABC and Food Handler certifications.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Bartending experience is a plus. Tell us in your application.
